Women Going Backwards?

Just had to note this excellent article by Katha Pollitt over at The Nation chronicling both women’s strides (viable female candidate, powerful Hollywood execs, women in higher ed) and what appears to be a severe cultural backlash (”the Pill kills”?, women can’t sue over discriminatory pay after six months of employment? South Dakota banning abortion, again?)

And why, why is Washington University awarding Phyllis Schlafly an honorary degree???
